Signal Processing and Display

• Multi-channel Input & Output: Receives 4 channels of (3G/HD/SD)-SDI input signals, supporting automatic detection of 26 formats. 
• It can combine 4 signals into 1 output (4-in-1 input multiplexer function) 
• or work as a 1-to-4 channel multiviewer. Outputs are available via (3G/HD/SD)-SDI and HDMI interfaces, which are interrelated.
• Multiview Display: In quad-split mode, each quadrant is independent, allowing simultaneous display of different formats (any 3G/HD/SD format, 
• any frame rate). It supports adjustable aspect ratios, multiple standard/layouts, and custom layouts that can be loaded or restored. 
• Full-screen zoom enables quick input switching, and selectable output formats are available in both full-screen and multiview modes.
• Image Flip: Supports horizontal and/or vertical flipping for each window.

Test Mode Features

• Test Pattern Generation: Serves as a professional 3G/HD/SD test pattern generator with 26 selectable 
• output formats and 54 test patterns, including brightness and chrominance test charts.
• Audio Testing: Equipped with an audio tone generator.

Audio Processing

• Audio Metering: Each window features 8-channel audio metering overlaid, which can be enabled individually.
•  It supports custom position/size settings, separate selection for the first two audio groups, and adjustments for transparency, 
• bar/float ballistic control, reference level, bar thickness, and margin.
• Audio Output: In quad-split mode, the first 8 channels of audio from any input can be transmitted to HDMI and SDI outputs. 
• A screen audio ID prompt appears when selecting the audio source.

Other Functions

• Low-Latency Buffer: Each input has a low-latency buffer for non-synchronous inputs.
• Pass-Through Mode: Routes any of the 4 inputs to (3G/HD/SD)-SDI and HDMI outputs.
• User Control: Operates via an easy-to-use rotary encoder for menu selection, with LED/buttons for status display/control.
•  It supports dynamic UMD and tally via RS422/485 (same RJ-45 connector), 5 GPI (on standard RJ-45) for tally/remote switching, and a USB port for control/updates.

Applications of MD-QUAD

Film, TV, and Live Production

• Multi-Signal Monitoring: In film/TV shoots and live events, it displays signals from multiple cameras (e.g., different 机 3G/HD/SD-SDI signals) on one monitor, 
• enabling directors, DPs, and DITs to view multiple angles for real-time monitoring and adjustment. For example, DIT trucks in Hollywood use MD-QUAD to receive camera signals.
• Real-Time Color Grading: DITs can compare original and graded signals, as well as different channels, to adjust grading parameters.
• Testing & Debugging: Uses test patterns to verify video devices (monitors, switchers, recorders) during system integration, 
• checking parameters like brightness, chrominance, and resolution.

Broadcast Television

• Studio Monitoring: Monitors signals from cameras, subtitle machines, playout devices, etc., in TV studios to ensure smooth broadcasting.
